FAQs: Enrolment, publishing and payments
Learners can’t find my course in the catalogue.
The course is either unpublished (Draft) or invite only. See How to publish a course and How to make a course invite only.
My course is published, but nobody can enrol.
The course needs at least one enrolment mode. A course with none shows No enrollment modes yet. Add one under Mode & Pricing.
Learners can see a course but can’t buy it.
The course is invite only. Learners can’t enrol, buy or subscribe themselves. Enrol them from the Enrollments page instead.
Learners see an empty course after enrolling.
Publishing the course and publishing its content are separate. Publish the content in Studio too.
I enrolled someone but they say it didn’t work.
The most common cause is a typo in an email address. Use Select from Platform Users wherever you can. See How to enrol learners into a course.
My CSV upload failed.
Use only the modes listed in the template’s comment row, and test with two or three rows first. See How to enrol learners with a CSV file.
Will unenrolling a learner delete their progress?
No. Their progress and certificates are kept, and if you re-enrol them they carry on where they left off. Their access is removed immediately, though. See How to remove a learner’s access to a course.
What happens to enrolled learners if I unpublish a course?
They keep their access and carry on. Unpublishing only stops new enrolments. See How to unpublish a course.
Does changing a learner to a paid mode charge them?
No. It grants the access that mode carries. Use it when payment happened elsewhere. See How to change a learner’s enrolment mode.
A learner paid by bank transfer. How do I record it?
Add it as an off-platform payment on the Revenue page. Adding a transaction doesn’t enrol the learner, so enrol them first. See How to view revenue and record an off-platform payment.
There’s no shopping cart.
The cart is a feature toggle. When it’s off, learners buy each course directly with Buy Now. See How learners buy a paid course.
I can’t switch on Subscriptions.
Subscriptions needs a payment gateway. Connect one first. See How to connect a payment gateway.
